From the 5th December 2005, Gay and Lesbian couples began to register at registrars offices across the country, their intention to carry out a Civil Partnership Ceremony.

Within the first two months approximately 4,900 had either registered or carried out their ceremony, with an estimated 10,000 couples joining together in the first year alone.

Although there is no requirement to hold a ceremony as such, simply making an appointment to go into your local registry office and sign the register fulfils the legal requirements. However, we believe here at Andrews Photography, that this is a Golden opportunity to really push the boat out and have the Wedding Day you have always wanted which until now has only been a dream.
